About Avery Photo

Avery Photo has been in the business of producing postcards since 1988. Its owner, John Avery, is an award-winning professional photographer whose national credits include The New York Times, National Geographic Books, Newsweek, and other publications. A former photojournalist with several newspapers, Avery left newspapering to start his own freelance business and, subsequently, Avery Postcards.

His line of scenic postcards of Kansas and Missouri are sold in retail shops across the two states. Additionally, the company has produced several hundred custom postcards for such businesses as Harrah's North Kansas City Casino, Cowabunga African Safaris, Ltd., The Boeing Company, Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., Schwaigmuhle (Austria) Camp and Conference Center, and a variety of hotels, campgrounds, bed-and-breakfasts, museums, and churches.
