The Frontier Army Museum at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas provides a unique blend of horse drawn vehicles, weapons, uniforms and equipment that combine to create a sense of the Frontier Army's contributions to our national history. Exhibit highlights include the Bronze Model 1836 Light 6 Pounder on Model 1832 Carriage, mules carrying the pack equipment for the 1.65 Hotchkiss Mountain Gun, ca. 1880, and the modified Pattern 1872 Dress Coat is for an Ordinance Sergeant of long services, as denoted by the 9 services stripes on the sleeves.
