Nearby, Van Buren, Missouri is the home of the Current River and Ozark Mountain springs. Eminence, Missouri is located in the heart of the Ozarks and is in the heart of the Ozark National Scenic Waterway. Eminence has a fine 9-hole municipal golf course. Other attractions are the regions abundant caves and waterfalls. Big Spring is the largest spring in Missouri and in the United States, as a freshwater spring. Some 278 million gallons of water gush from this spring every day.
